The Church Meets Needs
The contagious enthusiasm of those who believed in Jesus threatened the secure foundations of many people’s religious convictions, and an uneasy tolerance gave way to hostility. It was then that the little company of believers began to realize that the church was a new community. A community of men and women who could be closer than any family, and who could provide the kind of loving support that believers then, and believers now, would always need.
The Church Proclaims Truth
I am impressed by the boldness of these “ordinary” men to proclaim Jesus and Truth in the face of culture, in the fact of danger looking forward to a day when they will kneel before the face of God.May we proclaim the Gospel truth with such passion and produce the same kind of passion toward our individual community of believers in His Grace.
